Artist's Comments

I had no idea where to put this.
The basis for the image is a jpeg export of a standard head mesh in Poser which is then manipulated and painted to produce this. I'm sure someone will point out if it needs moving.

Based on a Tutorial bt Nik Ainley

Good to see someone doing something different with poser than just making faces and bodies. :)

Wow, simply amazing!! Interesting mix of 2d and 3d.. Appologies for taking some time to get to this pic... I was trying to work out how you did this.
As a guy with one foot firmly in 3D art, I'd have to say, I love this piece!

Thanks for stopping by. Glad you like this piece. To be honest it's a bit of a mish mash and that's why I was unsure where to place it. It's simply a standard head from poser (mouth posed but little else ) given a simple wire fill and exported as a jpeg. All of the rest of the work is done in photoshop which i suppose come under manipulation. lots and lots of layers selecting parts of the original ( after a lot of layer adjustments for the right look ) then clever ( 'm not the clever guy to come up with the idea ) use of the CS3 warp tool to drag out the parts. Carry on in this vein then at the end create some simple particle brushes for the 'exploding' parts with big random scatter and colour and you have the basics.
